John Lennon stole?! What BS! Lennon got the titles wrong and gave Zappa credit for a different song. People have been spinning a web of tall tales on a lot of different events lately.

The reason that this worked at all was because he had to keep his body rigid the whole time. If he relaxed or collapsed, he would get pulled down and likely get trampled. The dense crowd pressing in with their hands out ironically is what kept him elevated. That's just nuts, he started doing this at the beginning of the 80s. There was no such thing as 'moshing' and in arena sized venues, there was NO way that a rock singer could just jump into a crowd of 30 000 people just for fun. I think tbere must have been security guards planted in the crowd to help guide Peter back towards the stage, because he could have gotten carried out so far that he would have been stranded. But how tbe hell do you 'rehearse' something like this? You just jump in and hope you survive I guess.

Again funny you should say ... The Tragically Hip have a song called "Butts Wigglin", there is a live acoustic bootleg. The official video for "Get Back Again" was made by the son of the director of many Hip videos. 😊 I'm so glad they remastered the Misty Moon concert, it has one of the best versions of "Fight". ❤ For me, it was "38 Years Old" that made me realize how special they were. 🌠

I love this whole album, but then again I was about 15/16 when it came out - so it was also timing. People who loved late 70s Talking Heads tend to no like it. It's definitely their most accessible album. I may have mentioned this so sorry if I have, but the artist who did the cover for this album also did REM's Murmur album. His name was Reverend Howard Finster and he was a preacher and was known for his neivate art or folk art. I saw an exhibit of his stuff in my hometown at Toledo Museum of Art around 1988. He painted scenes like the one on this album on old TV sets and other objects as well as wood etc. I loved the colors, but the hyper Christian message I didn't care for back then because I was already living in the bible belt - but the combination was intriguing.

The title is very telling. I watched that whole video and Jesse Lee Peterson was actually the one in the wrong due to the deflections, insults, claiming the FBI data was wrong without any proof, muting her microphone mutiple times without telling her, putting words in her mouth, and defamed her character as an "angry black youtuber," which I believe is a lie because she seemed calm, collected, and poised throughout the social intercourse.

The Tragically Hip have a banger of a song called "I'm A Werewolf, Baby". It's from their first EP, there's also a live bootleg. 💥 This footage is from Canada Day '92, they performed three times that day. First in NL, next in ON then in BC. 🍁

You may want to check Tina's band "Tom Tom Club' Watch the "Stop Making Sense" movie and when the rest of Talking heads take a break she does a few Tom Tom Club songs.

When Talking Heads was first being put together they had no bass player so Tina was asked to join the band and play bass. It didn't bother anyone that she hadn't played bass before!

The first time I some the hip live on TV (it may have been this concert), he scared me. I wasn't sure what he doing. A few years later they became one of my favorite bands and we wouldn't miss them live when they came into town. My wife and I saw them on their last tour in Vancouver - 2nd row. It was awesome and sad at the same time. Hope one day I can have a beer with Gord.

Yeah, that's Tina Weymouth on bass, she was one of the founding members and was married to the drummer, Chris Frantz and still is I believe.

You MUST head the newly released Zappa 75 Zagreb live album--especially the version of "Black Napkins" on that...mindblowing. It features a lineup for his band that only played together briefly, notably with a short-time female singer (who is incredible), along with Napoleon Murphy Brock.

Im so happy to see this back Rory! But it's understandable why it's hard now, don't worry about it, everyone still loves it and your content in general! But to answer a question, Made in Heaven is a posthumous release, Freddie passed away before its release in 1995. But. It does feature mostly Freddie's vocals of tracks they didnt get to finish with him alive, tracks that Freddie did solo that the band added the Queen flair to, and older tracks Freddie recorded with the band that never got put on an album. It is one of my personal favorite Queen albums despite Freddie's passing, i think the band did a truly INCREDIBLE job finishing the music and it is the best goodbye/send-off they could've possibly done. Its still sounds like Queen through and through and I listen to a majority of the songs very often, its not a bad album whatsoever and I do recommend listening to it to at then end to truly finish the Queen journey. It features Mother Love, Freddie's final recording, which you have heard before, but not the album version which is much better quality than the music video version you've heard before
